Can the charcoal canister be removed if the rest of the emission/smog stuff has be removed?

Is the canister also a vent/ breather for the gas tank?

Thanks

Bill

The breather tube for the gas tank should come out by the gas cap. I removed my charcoal canister and it hasn't acted any different. So I'd say go ahead :D
