No, look elsewhere. The Trooper has a v6 engine which has a different bellhousing bolt pattern than your 4cylinder engine. You need an MSG (cable clutch) tranny from an '86 or '87 4x4 pickup or Trooper with the 2.3 gas engine- and get the slip joint as well. '88 & newer trucks use an MUA tranny with hydraulic clutch that are physically larger. While the 4cyl version can be fitted to a LUV it's a lot more work, including a body lift for clearance. As far as rear ends go your truck has 4.10 gears, most Troopers have 4.56 gears. If you change rears you must match the front drivetrain ratio to keep 4wd usable.
