Here's my question. I was thinking about swaping my 1.8 for a 2.3 out of a trooper, keeping the power steering, 5 speed, ect. Do I need the motor mounts out of the trooper or will it bolt to my 1.8 motor mounts. Any welding or cutting involved? I'm trying to weigh all options. I have it up for sale and there is quite a few buyers. Worst case senerio, I can relay any info I can get to them about the swap.

It will be hard to let go. I origionally bought it for a commuter to go back and forth to the bay. I didn't realize how low the gearing was. I was getting run over!! The possibilities are endless with a pre 76. A lady is coming from mendocino tonight to look at it.
