I have a '75 luv and have this little problem with finding a drive shaft that will fit my stock rear end flange. I currently have a 350 with 700r4 transmission and need to find some solution for converting the big ujoints down to the spicer 1100. One of my solutions was trying to find a flange that mated up to the pinion yoke that had a decent 1310 or higher u joint but need to know what the size of the rear end was and I haven't found anything anywhere on google or here. I can't take it to a shop because the yoke for the rear end just isn't big enough to fit in the drive line and be good enough. Does anyone have any idea how I can go about this? Rear end swap is out of the question for now.

I know you said you couldn't take yours in due to the different sizes, but I just did the swap in a Nissan hardbody and they had the flange to bolt to the rear that used the 3310 joint in stock and new for 30 bucks...

I typically cut the rear section off the shaft and the front section off the other and have a new shaft made . Driveline shop for sure .
