The donor is a 1978 2-wheel drive, and the project is a 1980 4x4. Are there any problems with this swap? What should I keep from the original motor?

Thanks, 80luv4by4

If you are putting the engine into a 4x4 you must use the 4x4 oil pan- the drain plugs are on opposite sides, you'll dump oil onto the front differential during a change with the 2wd pan.
