I was just given a 75 luv truck. My grandfather bought the truck the month after i was born. My father drove the truck until 90 and it was what i learned to drive in. I joined this site to see if i could get some ideas about what to do with it. It has the original engine with less than 50k miles. My dad said it only got 20 to 25 mpg, is that normal? If so what upgrades can be made to improve that to 25 to 30.

Welcome. I used an MSD and increased my mileage. I have heard that changing to electronic Dist helps increase MPG also, but not as much as an MSD. The way you drive also helps with MPG. Getting 25 mpg is still very good MPG, I get upwards of 28, closer to 30 on good days.
