Is it a dana 30? Dana 44? Narrow-track? Wide-track? The SAS should be the same as any other SAS. Just gotta put the spring perches in the right spot. The Jeep axles have great aftermarket support, but 'yota axles are still better. If its a dana 30, I wouldn't pay $50 for it. They are dime-a-dozen around here. Hell, I've had several I just gave away. If its a dana 44 its a little better. Might be worth $125 or so. Depends on the condition of the axle.

Any questions on jeeps go to smjc.net . That is the South Mississippi Jep Club and there is a ton of info available. It is comparable to Luvtruck but only for jeeps.

im pretty sure that the axle is a dana 30 narrow track. do you guys know if the gears will swap out from the luv front end with the jeeps gears? and is there any U-bolt adapter out there for this kind of swap that will bolt up to my transfer case?

your front gears from the LUV will not work in the dana 30. u-bolt adapter? You mean for the driveshaft? You're more than likely going to need a different length driveshaft anyhow, so when you take it to the driveshaft shop, have them swap out the yoke on the end of the shaft.

It really sounds like you need to do a LOT more research before you jump into a swap like this. You'll have to custom fab some steering linkage. The power steering box from the Trooper will work for your SAS.

i already have the axle, leaf springs (for rear) coils (for front) the power steering setup is almost finished. the only problem that i can think of is the steering situation. its already hooked up but i stopped cause im not sure what steering parts will hook up with that axle and the gear box.

Finish your steer conversion as you will want and use a cross over steer set up anyway. This is what the Toyota guys have to do when the go from the IFS to a straight axle and ours are built in. I have been exploring this using a Toyota front axle set up.
