Ok I have seen the way I want to do my 4 link!! It just so happens to be in the pics of Rat's truck. so Rat do you have the specs or a work sheet you drew all this out on before hand ?? I am talking about Ratnluv's pics in the project section . I got to 4 link my truck just to make it hook up. the 1.87 short time has got to go. I need more like a 1.45 or lower. I helped a buddy of mine do his truck with a 4 link but I want mine like Rat's. My buddy has a 1.35 short time with his.. Thanks for all the help..

I ordered the four link brackets and frame rails from Jegs. I ordered the poly bushed rod ends from Art Morrison.
I had already cut my frame and tubbed the truck with leaf springs before I decided to go with a 4-Link. This left the rails a little short and I had to do some extenions on the frame. Measure the wheelbase and go from there but leave the frame long and jig the back half up and keep triming the frame until you get the wheelbase back to factory specs.( 102" sticks in my head but I might be wrong. E mail me if you need some info and where is Perry Ga?

OK Thanks for the info. My truck is tubed with leaf springs now .. that is the reason I want to go with a 4 link. as for Perry Georgia we are in the middle of the state. approx 150 miles south af Atlanta and 150 miles north of valdosta on I-75. I dont think it is going to be to bad to do my truck because the guy that narrowed it didnt butcher it up ... He did a real clean job.. I bought the rolling chassis from him approx 4 years ago and installed my drive train.. Glad I finally found this site though.. Thanks again for the info!!

I found this site about January, there is a lot of good information here.

I am going to put coil overs on the front and loose the torsion bar after racing is done so I can loose some weight on the front. I still have leaf springs on the back with Cal Trac's and it hooks very hard. The best 60ft I have had is 1.49.

if you want to do an easy coil-over setup I have made a program for some top coil over mounts that fit in the shock tower.
let me know if you are interested.

Yes I would, I could get them cut on a CNC water jet or a plasma cutter.
Do you have them in IGES.

I would like to see the pictures of yours if you have completed the project.

I am going to post some pictures of my truck next month, I want to get it painted first.

I have them drawn in autocad and have a dxf of them. I can send you the CNC file so that all you have to do is load it in the machine.
the project isn't finished because I have a busy schedule and have been trying to figure out what to do about the rotor situation.
I have one mount tacked in place. I could sit the coil-over in there and take some more pics maybe tonight.

Cool, if it is in autocad I can run it thru IGES. I am in no hurry it is going to be Nov. before I start the project. I will wait and learn from your experiance, pictures please when you get done.

It should help my 60ft times.

Many Thanks,
Slick Rick

Hey Rat, which truck is yours in the photo gallery. What name is it under. I may have just overlooked it, but I am curious about how you did it also.
Thanks

Scott Howard Georgetown Tn. Done mostly by trial and error. Measure twice the first time and three times the second time and then don't be surpised if you still make a mistake. Also keep in mind no matter how well you plan everything when you get done you WILL see something you would have done different . This is my second major Luv project the first I did not finish (Mid 90's )but it helped with some things I did different on this truck.
Big block in it also.
