clutch and trans is the easy part.

need a V8 T5, a camaro is a good choice. then you will need an S10 T5. you need to remove the tailshaft housing and swap it onto the camaro unit. this will put the shifter location in the correct area. try to get a regular (F-bodys have 15* tilt for shifter) bellhousing, flywheel and clutch pack can be pieced from autozone. the clutch with convert to hydraulic and the kit is available from summit.

S10 t5 is weak, the v8 camaro is a little better. Comparison to me is like the difference between a Saginaw 4 speed and a Muncie, but the v8 t5 ain't no Muncie. Course, if you have a deal on a s10 t5, run it, you can always upgrade after it grenades. Motor mounts are pretty easy to fab, if you want to buy bolt ins, there are a couple of threads floating around here with the same info...

yea the 4 banger trans will last all of about 100 miles.......... try it........ you will see.

you have to have a chevy v8/v6 pattern bellhousing, but it needs to have the T5 mount pattern. A 4cyl or 60* V6 bell will NOT work.

As for motor mounts, talk to Ol'Rob..... he can set you up.

ever considered a buick V6?
