Hey guys, I've just started gathering bits for my '73 Luv.
i bought a 307 block with some goodies for a good price, so small cubes it is.
i've dropped the block off at my machinist and these are the plans so far:
using original crank, stock 400 rods (5.565) paired up with 283 speedpro forgies, a little bit will need to be taken off the block to get the compression up, but i think it should be a good thing.
i also scored a pair of double hump (fuelie?) heads with small valves.
also along the way i picked up a edelbrock performer manifold and a barry grant speed demon 650
im not really after huge power figures (silly idea for a 307) but i think once i put the rest of the pieces of the puzzle togethor this should be a damn fun engine in my luv, maybe a little better on fuel than a bigger cube engine and definately still a hell of a lot of fun when you hit the loud pedal.
thoughts?
three oh block scorn not required thanks.
