I've heard that an '84 PUP 5spd transmission will bolt up perfectly to my '80 Luv engine, is this true?
Has anyone here done something similar? My transmission is gone and I need a new one, so whatever your tips are, I'd appreciate them. My local B&R has an '84 PUP trans, so I was just wondering if that would work out.
Also, Anybody know if I'll need to do some work on my driveline(shortening, etc...)?

If there are alternatives, please share.

Pretty sure it's gas, but it doesn't matter anymore. I think someone on here bought it already.
