i have a 79 4x4 and i am wanting to do a v-8 swap on it but i only want two wheel drive...... so what needs to go out in the front and what do i need to get to make it just a simple two wheel drive.....

Pull out the front diff housing and axels, swap 4wd spindles for 2wd items. I just took a look under my 80 4wd looks that easy. :lol:

so i need two wheel drive spindles....... thats it....... right?????? will everything just bolt up or what.....

looks like a straight forward spindle swap to me or you could save money by just separateing 4wd c v joint and leave 4wd spindles on

Be sure to get 2wd spindels with hubs break the ball joints fit the 2wd spindles bolt on the disks bolt up brake calipers or leave the 4wd hub and spindles on an separate the cv joint

okay so can i just take out the front differential and the cv axles..... and leave in the hubs..... like just put a centercap over it and that will work....... i know the two wheel drive trucks have that circle cap there.....
