 Post subject: heater box

noticed the other day that when I slide my heater control thing from def to heat, right before it falls into the heat slot, it goes really hard. Just curious if this is going bad on me because it has always slid over so nice in the past.

it might just need lubed or adjusted... it's real easy to check.

i'd check the cable ends where it hooks up on both ends and make sure they are not binding up and then try some lube on it. Mine had a cable slip a little and it would bind up hard and it ended up bending the lever where it attached to the heater controls.

so do I have to pull the box out? if so, whats an easy way of doing so?

you shouldn't need to pull the box out. you can pull the heater controls off but it's not really neccessary. Just crawl under there and look around as you move the controls and you can see which one is for what. then go from there
