Somebody did that a few years ago and if i remember correctly, it can be done rather easily. Some of the hardware matches up and some mild mods will finish it off. If you have all the parts like the buckets, shrouds and grill then go for it. The high beams are on the inside so make sure you wire them up correctly

Hey noyz where ya been? Yeah you can change them over. But like BM stated you need all those other parts to make it work. Pretty easy changeover all, in all though...

I did this to my current 79 4x4 and like it a lot. If you find a complete donor, grab the grill, head light trim, buckets, and the wiring harness to the lights from both sides. If you strip the harness back a ways you can get quite a bit of slack on all three wires. Then you just need to stick some flat spade connectors on the three wires and plug them into the right spots on the stock two light wiring. I forget which is which other than the ground is black and hits both connectors, but high beam + wire goes to both connectors and the low beam + only goes to one of the connectors. So that means the high beam connector has two wires, the low beam has three. Just get the ground wire right and experiement with the other two in the two light plug.

I was concerned that the higher wattage draw of four bulbs would be too much for he two bulb set up, but I have less problems with it than I do my 77 with stock 4 bulb wiring.
