After I installed the 5 speed on my Luv, I noticed the exhaust hits the crossmember were the torsion bar goes through (most of that bar is cut out for the 5speed). I think one of the hangers is missing on the front portion of my exhaust, but I cant see where it would mount to, maybe the tranny? I've got an '80 4x4, could someone list the number of hangers and a brief note to wear the hanger attaches.

There usually is a mount that goes from the pipe to one of the motor/trans bolts. I think it attaches to the pipe just above the bend where it heads back under the truck.

I looked closer and it looks like someone took a cutting torch and cut the hanger in half! I'll pull the old one off, whats left of it. :D Then I'll see if I can buy another one or make a trip to the wrecking yard.

I'll see if I can get a pic off one of my trucks. It is just a pretty basic flat bar about an inch wide and bent at an angle. You could probably make one without much for tools, a drill bit and a vise would do it.

I went to Napa and they sell an couple of differnt after market brackets for about $4. One type I bought has a rubber like strap (that stands up to heat of course) and two brackets. The second type attaches to your collar of on the piple and has a long strap with bolt holes.
