We pulled a 1979 J10 Jeep pickup truck from the salvage yard to our home with our Luv 4x4 and it's original 1.8. Did OK until we had to stop and turn and then the J10 almost caused the Luv to fishtail but we made it around the corner and home in the rain. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, we broke both motor mounts in the Luv

I pulled a mid 70s full size 4x4 Dodge pickup once with my 76 2WD LUV. It was only a couple miles, but it probably seemed like 1000 miles to my brother's roomie, who was sitting in the Dodge looking very embarassed. I still give him grief over it every time I see him.

It pulled ok, except the chain was at an angle up to the Dodge, so every time I took off at a light the back of the LUV wanted to hop around.

I pulled a 5-yard dump truck about 5 miles. We had to keep the dump truck in high gear so the engine would turn and the air brakes would work. We used low range with the front hubs unlocked.

I hauled a guy out of the mud once. He had a flatbed pulling a trailer with a tractor on the trailer. After I got him out, he just shook his head and said "I would've never believed it."

With the 4cyl I used to pull a 14 foot dirtbike trailer with the two bikes on it and all of our gear.I would tow that to the trails that were about 30 miles away.I think thats what killed the four banger though.

I towed a mustang on two occasions with a tow dolly... I thought it was pretty good for a stock truck at a mile above sea level.
