Does anyone know who sells the cheaest radiator for my 1980 4x4 Luv? I can get one from advanced auto parts for $130 but I wanted to make sure there wasnt anything out there a little bit cheaper.

http://www.radiatorbarn.com is usually pretty good, but they want $155 shipped for a stock luv rad. $130 does not sound too bad from what I could find.

MEPR's right. Have it rebuilt. But I would go one step further. I'd have a 3 row core put in rather than the 2 row LUVs have. It'll run cooler, especially in the Summer or when you're carrying a load or going up hill. I did that with mine years ago, cuz I have air conditioning.

ITS A GOOD IDEA TO CARRY JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE KITCHEN SINK. ITS ALSO A GOOD IDEA TO GO WITH ANOTHER TRUCK. INCASE "someone" GETS STUCK IN THAT HOLE AND CAN YANK YA OUT. OF IF ONE OF YA DECIDE THAT 75 FOOT DROP OFF IS A GOOD PLACE TO DO A DUKES OF HAZARD AND THEN WHO EVER YOUR WITH CAN EITHER SCRAPE YOU OFF THE INSIDE OF THE TRUCK AND GET YA SOME HELP. I HAVE LEARNED FROM EXPERIENCE THAT ITS BETTER TO HAVE SOMEONE WITH YA INCASE YA BREAK OR HAVE A BOO-BOO.
SO YA CARRY SOME EXTRA ANTIFREEZE, SOME OIL, AND A CAN OF WD-40 INCASE YA GET THE DISTRIB WET. SPRAY THE INSIDE OF THE CAP WITH WD AND IF YOUR TRUCK WILL TURN OVER IT WILL START NO MATTER HOW WET THE CAP AND ROTOR ARE.
CHECK A 4 WHEEL DRIVE MAGAZINE OF YOUR CHOICE AND THEY USUALLY HAVE SOME GOOD ARTICLES ON "SAFE 4 WHEELIN".

http://www.outlawradiator.com has stock chevy luv radiators for a hundred bucks. My total was 106 after taxes. And since I ordered it during the holidays the shipping was free.

Thanks for the tip Elpip11. That looks like a good place to go with. I noticed this is one of their slogans:
Quote:
These Radiators are Real Barn Burners

Sounds like they are targeting Radiatorbarn directly there don't it?

On my last post I wrote that the shipping was free for ym radiator because i ordered it during the holidays. Actually the shipping was free because I ordered it offline. So shipping is free anytime of the year as long as it is ordered off the internet. Just wanted to correct that.

Maybe too late but Marietta Radiator is where we get all of ours. They even have them in stock. I think we paid right at $100.
