Ive searched most of the salvage yards around and cant seem to find a pair of tail lights with the housing in good shape anyone know where to get some or even if you can convert to a different type of tail lights? Also the tail gate latches on my luv are bent all to hell was wondering if the was an easy fix to that or maybe a mod that someone has done to change it up...i was almost thinking about drilling holes and putting in hood pins to secure it.

Thanks

Just have to keep looking for the tail lights, ebay has them every so often. Just watch out for a place on ebay selling luv parts called Duane's Salvage, that dude caused a lot of problems here before being banned. (Just my opinion, take it or leave it) I guess it does depend on the year of your truck too, 75-80 lights are a lot easier to find than 72-74 stuff. I've seen them all up on ebay at one point or another though.

On the gate latches, I saw a post quite a while ago talking about using seatbelt latches inside the bed to hold the gate closed. You put the belt side on the gate, the latch on the bed, when the gate closes they line up and lock it shut. That would get rid of the rattling old outside latches and clean up the look of the rear a lot. If you could find a hard cover or a shell, it would also secure the tailgate better too. You might find other ideas in here too. Try a search for tailgate latch and see what else you come up with.

Heres an idea. Shave off the handles, and you build on the back of the tailgate to slide up and down. Sorry, these are the best pics I have of the truck I used to have, that had a sliding tailgate.

It was something to see for sure! With the tilt front end and the doors open, it was like one of those robots that turned into cars  (member that cartoon?)

Got any more pictures of that truck?

The bed rails look trippy. And tilt front end? What is that dash out of? More pictures! More info! :)

So thats about all the pics worth lookin at. I would say the dash is out of a nissan. Maybe like a pthfinder.??.. The truck has a chopped top, with a motorized roll up back window. Other then that, its about it. Someone put alot of work into this truck, but I decieded to go with my other luv--the one I got now-- instead of this one, cuz it just needed to much. JessMn got it from me for her birthday. Heres a pic of the day when Nascar44 came and picked it up.

Heres Nascars bigger, but slower truck :P
Image As far as I know Jess still has it, but I could, and probably am wrong 8O

If you have the tools, and know how to use them, you could put just about any kind of light you want in. I have seen some diffrent tail lights on a couple, and they looked nice!
