I need a ltittle help remembering how to set the point gap on my son's 1978 stepside Luv. I just replaced my sons's plugs, points, cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel pump and added a fuel cell in place of his leaky gas tank. We did this because he had a bad "sputter" as he increased speed and we thought we could hit all of the easy fixzes before tearing into the carb.

However, it has been 20+ years since I have set the gap on points and I can't remember how to do it. The Haynes manual we have does not do a good job of describing the process. Can anyone help? I have them installed but need to get the gap done.
