Well i got the 82 electronic ignition put into my 80 luv. If anyone is interested in doing this pm me and ill tell you what you need to do. As far as performance bennies, the motor has never idled so smooth and it will rev up to 6000rpm (floats the valves then 8O ). And it only took me about a half hour to do it too.

If you could make it into a formal article, I would gladly post it in the information section.

I have been wanting to put electronic ignition in my '74. Do you think the '82 swap would work?

well i dont know exactly if it will. I have heard that the only diferance between the 70s motors and the 80s motors is everything (starter intake exaust ect.) ar on opposite sides, if this is the only diferenc then it should work for them too. But as far as right now all i know for that will work is 78-80 (ore the one whith the starter and intake on the passenger side).
