I think the '82 is a different body style though, isn't it?

I'm going to the junkyard again this weekend. I'll see if they have any newer ones with power steering.

I own a 1982 Chevy LUV diesel and it does have power steering. Hey mule that is cool that you have a 1981-1982 series LUV. Yes, the body style is different for the 81 and 82 LUV. The truck is an exact look a like to the 1981-1987 Isuzu PUP. Mule is your truck a shortbed or longbed? I am in need of a longbed pickup bed for my truck that is in good condition. Also if you have any pictures of your truck can you let me know and send them to my email. When these trucks are custom done they look sweet.

I don't know how bad you want power steering, but Wilwood used to sell a kit to add power steering to any car. As you can guess, it was very expensive.

I was considering putting it on mine way-back-when.

i have 7 luvs and one is a v8 witch i had to have power steering on u can do it its not that hard u get a power steering box from an isuzu trooper 80s it bolts to the frame but there are 2 things that u have to fab u have to add a u joint on the steering coulum and shorten it a couple of inches and there is the pitmen arm witch us luv guys know has that stupid two hole arm so what i did because the splines on the arms were different i had a machine shop cut and weld the two pecies they tested the arm in a 5 ton press and it didnt break i have had no problems with the set up and strongly sugest doing it its really nice to drive
