How do you unhook the clutch cable from the trans.? I cant pull enough slack in it. Would it be easier to pull trans. at the same time, or motor first? I'm just doing a stock engine swap. Thanks all.

You introduce slack into the cable on the engine side of the firewall where the adjusting nut is on the cable housing.

Yeah, you start at the top. Adjust the cable so that it has slack, take it off the pedal, then you should have enough slack at the bottom to take it off there.
