I was lowering my truck and was loosening my torsion bars, and got to about 8 or 9 turns when the passenger side got tight. The driver side keeps turning fine but I only got to 11.5 turns before I decided to not lower the passenger side anymore, because it wouldn't turn, but the driver side still turns easily... It was low enough because it was my daily driven truck, but now I got a new truck and want to lower the LUV more.

Anyone have any idea what may cause this? Anyway to fix it?

Also how do you completely remove the torsion bars?

check to see if the bolts have any damage or anything is caught above/ below the arm in the adjuster. also keep in mind you'll need to have your alignment reset because adjusting your ride height will throw off your front end geometry

Did you jack the truck up when you cranked on the adjusters? The weight of the truck itself adds an extra load to the threads. Even if you're lowering the front end. Get the wheels off the ground and spray some lube to the threads and see if they move smoother.

Yep the front was completely off the ground... used a lot of WD40 on it... didn't do anything...

When you remove the torsions, how hard is it to put them back in?
