I need help, I am almost finished putting a 350\350 setup in my luv and i am at the finishing stuff. I am clueless on what to do to the tranny dipstick. I was wondering what some of the other people have done for this in the same setup. Is there a re locating type or what is there?

Jegs and Summit both offer flexible ones and they are a little higher but will solve your problem. Lokar 625-TD-3350400Fm page 209-N in the last Jegs $59.99

I forced a stock dipstick tube in mine. I tweaked it a bit but I got it to clear everything.

Hey guy's.
Just a little story about one of those flexible dipsticks.( Not sure which one) My buddy put one on his Blazer had it on for about a month then wanted to check his fluid, his had a flexible rubber type "stick" with a steel braided tube and I'll be damned the rubber part melted and got stuck in the tube. We found out that what we thought was an exaust leak was actually a hole/crack in his header bout the size of half a pinkie nail all that hot gas was directed right at the tube, man that was an expensive exaust leak! In his infinite wisdom he decided to yank out the big block and tranny and go with a sbc and a stick. The stick OK but the big block :? It's stil sitting in our shop waiting for its revenge!

I have a chromed stock style tube on mine, had to bend it just a hare but it fits good. Mine's a V-6 but everything in the rear should be in the same place as an 8!!

I have one of those stock long ones that comes all the way up behind the distributor. it has to "massaged" to fit, and being an electician, I whipped out the 1/2" EMT electrical conduit bender. Piece of cake.
