generally when one blinks faster than the other there is a blown globe somewhere on the left indicator circuit

I'll take these one at a time, but all could be related

Headlights=no turn signals: Likely source would be shorts in the front turn signal/park lights. If it does it when just the park lights are on that would be a stronger sign. The front turns come on dim with the park lights and park/turn are both on the same bulb. If they are corroded in there bad there could be a cross short between the park/turn circuits. Other sources would of course be the miles of 29 year old wiring, but I'd clean up those lights first.

One side blinks faster than the other: Faster side has more bulbs in the circuit, or at least more paths to ground. Slower side could have a dead bulb like noyz said, or the faster side could be where your short is from the first problem.

Dash indicators: sounds like the right indicator is blown, but I've seen them do strange stuff like that before. My 77 does this thing every couple of years where the turns quit working, and the right indicator light is the only one that works and it just stays on. If I turn on the hazard flashers and then cycle the turns left/right a time or two it returns to normal. The bulbs in the dash are in little plastic holders that twist into the back of the guage cluster. Reach under there and swap the left turn for the right one. If the dead one moves to the other side you just have a bad bulb, if it stays the same then its part of your other electrical gremlin.

A popular place for turn/brake/park light problems is in the rear harness where some prior owner has spliced in a trailer connector. I've had a couple trucks that had all sorts of lighting problems all caused by stuff back there. If you have creative wiring going on under the back of the truck, I'd check it over for cuts/shorts and clean it up if you can.

You might also try replacing the turn signal flasher unit. They do go bad or quit working right sometimes, and they don't cost too much. The stock ones are real slow to begin with, so a replacement should get a little quicker signal flash. I got pulled over for failing to signal before a lane change once and I had flipped the switch 3/4 of a block before changing lanes. I think the cop just missed the first couple of flashes.

I had a similar problem with the blinkers. Turned out to be the passenger side front blinker socket was rusty. Took a dremel with one of the wire wheels to it (fits right in with a little pressure), and no more troubles.
