My truck runs like a top after rebuilding the carb and replacing the fuel pump! Except after it warms up(about 8 or 9 miles) it stalls. Fires right back up, goes about 200 yards, and stalls again. Does this repeatedly until you let it sit for awhile. I've been trying to figure out this problem since last June!!! I figured the carb & fuel pump would help but it has gotten progressively worse. Is there something that went bad on the carb that could cause this? Any ideas on what I can try to solve this? I would very much like for my LUV to not be regulated to local duty!!

Sounds about like what mine was doing when I first got it back on the road. I eventually tracked it down to a yellow jacket that had been living in the fuel tank. It would get sucked into the fuel pickup line and wedge against the filter pretty much cutting off the flow. Once I got it and the rest of the junk out of the tank I haven't had any problems since.

In general it sounds like a fuel delivery problem of some kind. It could be junk in the tank, filter, or something that found its way into the carb. The only other thought I have is that the coil is getting hot and needs to be let sit to cool off, but I would expect that would not start at all until it cooled.

Cap off all the small vacuum ports on the carb and intake manifold except the vacuum spark advance and see what happens.

I'm gonna pull the tank down this morning and see what I find!
