I bought this truck for 100 because I had to get rid of my first one when i went to the Marine corps and now i found this one and I have replaced the fuel pump, starter and rebuilt the carb and it still will not fire up. It has spark at all plugs and the point gap is good. I am at a loss with what I can do. I love the trucks but I am at wits end on what the problem is. could it be the timing and of it is is there a way I can check the timing with out it fireing up???

It may have jumped time. If the engine spins really fast when you're turning it over, that's a sure sign that it has. Since you say the point gap is good, I assume you've watched it while the distributor is turning. If it's getting gas and the points are opening and closing, and its sparking on all cylinders, the only thing I can think is that the timing chain has broken. But I'm no guru, either.

and if the timing chain has broken, more than likely its bent the valves too.

You can usually get the timing close enough to fire by putting the motor on TDC (top dead center) of a compression stroke and eyeballing the rotor in the distributor to line up with the #1 spark plug wire.

You can put the motor on TDC by lining up the timing mark with "0". You have to make sure it's a compression stroke. We usually do that by pulling the #1 spark plug and holding a finger over the spark plug hole. When you feel the air pushing against your finger, that's the compression stroke. Keep turning the crank until your at "0" degrees.

At that point put the spark plug back in. Look to see where the rotor is pointing in the distributor (you'll have to take the cap off to do this). Rotate the distrubutor if you have to, to line up the #1 spark plug wire with the rotor. Try to get it as close as you can.

This will usually get you close enough for the engine to run. Once it fires you can adjust it with the timing light.

Okay I did all of that and I did get the dang thing to fire up finally. When I go to fine tune the timing it wants to die when I get it to be about 12 Deg BTDC snd time is i think 6. Could it be that I did in fact jump a tooth????

It sounds like something is screwed up in the teeth. It sounds like you need to tear it down to the chain and check it out from there. You may also want to pull the valve cover and check for any bent valves. If it has jumped time, it may have bent a couple of them.
