I think he mean "wheelie", and i'm not sure a V6 can do that, unless you modify it heavily

There is one more definition of a "willie" or rather a "wee willie."

put a jack under the front of it.

otherwise you will have as much money in the V6 as you would a V8.
trust me.

yes.
I had a buick V6 (231 even fire) in my truck for about 10 years.
There was so much money in that engine, I could have built a really fast V8. Now I am not saying it was a crappy engine, im just saying for the money, I could have had a better setup.
the V6 suprised alot of people, and was very reliable.
I guess it is all up to what you want to do with the truck.
if it is a daily driver and you aren't looking for performance you can go with the V6 and be happy, but if you want to go fast......go V8.

only reason I say GN V6 is they are factory turbo, and you can make them seriously haul ass. Just look up Buick Grand Nationals. Theres vids floating around the net of a gutted Geo Metro with a GN V6 and RWD that runs mid to high 9's in the quarter. now I know that motor has some serious cash in it, but if I remember right GNs ran low 14's from the factory back in the 80's thats pretty damn good for a fullsize car with a V6 in it

I do know that heavily modified Buick GNs with twin-turbo packages were not entirely rare in the 1980s, and those things not only did wheelies, but I heard of a couple running high 7s

true rezkid, they are hard to find, but my point is that a Buick 3.8 can be a killer motor when built right.

that i guess would be true, i have not seen one of these built up, but i'll take your word on that they can put out major power.

I remember a buildup YEARS ago, back when the GN was hot, and the particular car had the 3.8 (may have been punched out a little), twin turbos, an intercooler, and engine internals to handle the extra boost, and the car made something like 800 horsepower. It'd stand the front end all the way down the track. I'm sure some other mods were there, I cant remember, but for a little V6, I do remember being pretty impressed.

you dont have to go with the GN motor. you can get a regal t-tpye motor from when they were experimantal. they still had a turbo, but it was a draw-thru kind and they had qjets. thats what i want to get for my buick v6. the thing is, i dont know if the driverside header would fit with the steering shaft. just my .02.
oh i have a video on my comp of a 1076HP GN. it burns out on the dyno!!
peace
