The only thing I can thinkl of, that came with a stock weber, and I could be wrong, is a VW. Seems to me that bugs had webers on them stock. Good luck with the ducks

VW's (at least all that I'VE seen) had 1bbl Solex carbs on them. The weber was a real popular upgrade though. It's not hard to find a bug anywhere with 1 or 2 on them.

Yeah, I think I've seen several bits of info that tie 2bbl webers to various smaller motor fords. If not from the factory, then they were a popular addition or replacement carb. The weber 32/36 also masquarades as the Holley 5200 too, so if you find anything that shipped with one of them it will be a Weber as well.

There is at least one rig that shipped with a carb base bolt pattern that is the same as the weber. Perhaps that is where this ford link comes from. The stock carb has the same size/shape/spacing on the intake that weber used. A stock carb from something like this might be in the range of the weber too, and you could just get a weber adapter plate to bolt it up to a LUV.

I think some old Honda cars had stock Webers on them.

lol.... if you had said something 6 months ago, I wouldn't have known. I just got my VW in September, and proceeded to learn all that I could very quick.

The weber carb (or 2) is usually the first upgrade anyone does to a VW. Mine will be getting one soon.

the weber dg series has been illegal for california smog since the early 80's , weber makes a carb for early 80's smog that has egr controls, an idle control, costing richer solonoid and the like....they're not cheap...but they do exist.

in fact there's one on e-bay right now....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33550&item=7945446503&rd=1

i'd try looking at dealer options for cars back then (late 70's-early80's)and keep in mind that the holley 5200 is essencely the same thing.... they came on old pintos.

there's a 2 barrel solex that came on the older bmw's. it's along the same lines too for adjustability and simplicity
in the junk yards here i've seen jaguars, mg's, merkurs and the like.

i've never known a car that came stock with a weber though...... :smt102
