I just replaced my blower motor and it works now but only on high. Any suggestions on the best place to start looking? I also just had the clutch pedal assembly break the weld on the right side of the pivot shaft. Has anyone repaired (successfully) the assembly without removing it from the truck? I have read the other posts on the subject but want to avoid pulling the assembly out. I found out that a 110 volt wire feed welder will fix it for 12-14 hours but I will get tired of re-welding it every day. I was also thinking of bracing it from behind with a piece of angle iron from the firewall that would hold the shaft where the spring clip is right now, using a washer welded to the angle iron that would slip over the shaft and ride in the groove where the clip is. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have an 80 2wd and mine was cracked right accross the clutch pedal attach hole. I made a bracket from hefty aluminum. Two 1/2 bolts to the firewall and one large hole lined up to the support bracket. This went on the drivers side of the bracket on the outside. It worked like a champ and has given me no trouble in the six years I have had it installed. I have pics someplace at home if you need them.

i braced the left side of the clutch pedal bracket in my truck.... if you have access to a welder repair the stock braket first and weld a plate to the fire wall where you plan on having the bracket mounted...

it worked well... i haven't had any problems since i did it,and i like to stomp on my clutch sometimes....

as for your heater blower.... check the connections between the speed switch all the way up to the blower motor... it sounds like the slow side(driver's) of the motor has no juice getting to it........while your under there with some wire....re do the ground to the blower...it's a really common problem.

good luck!
