I just fixed my clutch bracket 2 months ago. Took the column loose to get it out through the bottom. After putting everything back together, my high beam indicator is inop. The brights come on like they're supposed to, but the blue indicator does nothing. Any suggestions?

Did you pull the instrument cluster or drop the steering column?

I dropped the column. This was before I knew you could pull it out through the dash!

That would suck!! Strange coincidence that it happened after I messed with the wiring under the column!

I, too, dropped the column not knowing pulling the instrument cluster was an alternative. Anyway, I thought possibly if you pulled the cluster, you might've knocked a wire loose. And alternatively, maybe the bulb had a weak filament. Sometimes an old bulb's filament will break when the bulb is bumped. The metal ionizes over time as it's burning to provide light, so the filament gets thinner. Banging the steering column will do this possibly. 'Sides, bulbs are cheap, so change it and see if this fixes it.

I hope this isn't a really dumb question, but is that bulb easy to change and is it soldered onto the socket? I've heard of other older vehicles being set up this way.

No, its easy. Just turn the little black holder from the back of the cluster behind the h-beam indicator. When thats in your hand just pull the bulb out of it. its a common blade base auto bulb.
