i towed a junker down to pick and pull last week and my truck seems to be missing oil now......
i thought i had burned some up towing the load, but i filled it back up and now it's two quarts low in two days.
i inspected the front and rear seals and the're good, i don't think i'm burning it , the only place i can find something resembeling a leak is at the dipstick. when i take the oil cap/breather off there's pressure......i could probably float a ping pong ball on the air pressure but i think a golf ball(heavier) would seal it off.
is this a pressure leak? my block is a re-man .30 over so i don't think it could be the rings.....i broke it in right andthe engine has less than 10k on it since..... the head was rebuilt 5000 miles before the engine was done. but i don't know how to do a leak down, how do you tell if it's the cyl walls or the valves?
