 Post subject: rear ends

I am planning my luv project and have read some of the views on rear ends . my thought is has anyone put a toyota land cruiser read end in a luv ??? it is almost a copy of a ford 9in and should be about the ringt width also the bolt pattern in 6 bolt as original Jim

Just go with the ford 9. unless you're stock and you have the toyota already. The ford 9 has a rep for strength for a reason.

the problem with the toyota land cruser rear is the pumken is off to one side -a lot!! but if you can make the drive shaft work go for it

I would definatle go whith the 9" (im running one in my full sized). You will never have a hard time finding parts, and its stronger than any other axle i have heard of for trucks (lets hear it for the third member!).
