Finally had the chance to restart Luv.
NOTHING!
Good spark.
No gas.
Filled float wyh gas, ran great for 30 seconds.

Questions?
Which wire to fuel pump is hot?
What elec. fuel pump options are there?
Any ideas are welcome.

The stock pump should have a ground and a hot. The ground should be pretty short and attatched to the the frame right by where the pump mounts.
When I replaced mine I got a $30 universal from NAPA. Works just fine...

Oh yeah, I'd replace the filter between the pump and tank too.

Another thing I do, is to put one of those little clear glass fuel filters up by the carb. Makes it easy to see if you're gettin gas up to the carb...

Before you go out and buy a new fuel pump, make sure that you're getting power to the pump. If you dont read any voltage to the pump, the relay could be at fault. Check everything over before you throw money at the problem.

Checking power to the pump can be a complex operation. It should get power when cranking the motor over, and after the motor starts. You won't see power with just the key on. There is a pair of relays under a metal cover right behind the coil on the passenger side inner fender that control the pump and the resistor bypass for power to the coil.

on my 73 wif my new engine was set up for an electric fuel pump where as previously i had a mechanical, i put the pump up the back with the tank, earthed it out on the bolt that holds it in place, ran the hot wire to a switch hidden under the dash then to the main fues for power, ya just gota remember to turn the switch off when ya stop, works as a good kill switch too :D
