I've got this '80 LUV Mikado. I've got two questions. First, a buddy of mine pulled me a carburetor from a junk yard, mine needs rebuilding. I got the kit from NAPA, and a core, and I don't have a damn idea what I am doing. Where can I get step by step instructions? Would the Chilton's manual have those?

Also: I need a new bench seat. Has anyone had any success using seats from other trucks? If so, which ones work?

tell ya what. i rebuilt my carb a hunnerd times and never got it right. there is too much crap goin on inside teh stock carb. (is it the hitachi?) i found multiple problems with my carb that i couldnt fix. also, the rebuild kits are incomlete. no accelerator pump, but you get a shiny new dust boot for your old one . there are other things missing i cant think of right now. if you have the money or if you can save it up, i suggest going here. http://www.carbs.net and click on the weber picture right below the main page menu block. tehy have an application guide with complete kits for luvs. i paid a atotal of 340.00 bucks for my weber kit and have enjoyed it ever since. n e way, that is all i have to say about that
