 Post subject: G-200 interchangable?
PostPosted: Fri Dec 03, 2004 11:01 pm
I just returned from deployment and I am now in Bremerton, WA hoping to do some winter wheeling in my luv. My question is this: I called an engine exchange place here in WA about getting a new engine for the blue ugly (It only has 236,000 miles on the originial engine but I'm going to get it rebuilt anyway) the guy at the shop said I could get a G-200 long block for $750 and that it was completely a bolt in swap for the G-180 that I have now. Does anyone know if it is entirely bolt in with out any headaches? I like the idea of having 200 more cc's of gut twisting horsepower under the hood. Also anyone in the Bremerton area? I'm looking for some trails that my stock 4x can make it through.
thanks for your help,
Devin

I would like to do some wheeling, My email is ussjcsato@yahoo.com I live in East Bremerton right by Illahee state park. I don't know where the G-200 comes from but the place I called is called Japanese imports, they sell used and remanufactured engines. The number is 1-877-956-1100. I found their ad in the little nickel along with the ads of about 15 other rebuilders. Email me about doing some wheeling, My Truck is very ugly but runs well. I have 205-75-14 street tires on it right now which I hope to change out soon.

hey im just right acrost the sound at McChord, id be up for some 4wheeling. As far as the G-200 goes, its the same motor as the G-180 just a bigger bore. Come to think of it my G-180 is probly closer to a G-200 right now 8)
