So after I put in the ford rear, I had my wife pump the brakes while I bled them. With the truck not runnin. When I first got it going, I didn't have the Vac. line hooked up yet to the brakes, and you had to push real hard to stop. Now I have the Vac hooked to the brakes and they are real mushy. Do you think I damaged something, or do I just have to re-bleed the brakes??? Also, the fronts are disc, and it has always pulled real hard right when you hit the brakes. The pads look even. Whats up with that???

i would check the master cylinder and the propotioning valve and check the lines them selves for leaks and cracks.....or just go to the hardware store and buy all new line....and flange it your self

As for the mushy feel, it sounds like air is still present in the system. You might want to do the same to the front brakes too. Keep in mind that the calipers need to side along the mounts smoothly. One might be hanging up causing the truck to pull to one side. After driving the truck for a little bit, touch the rotors with your fingers and see if one feels hotter than the other. The cooler one is binding.
You may already know this but the forward resevior is for the rear brakes and the aft reservior is for the front brakes. This kinda throws people off when it comes to working on brakes.

If it pulls hard right, drive it some and check the left side. If its hot you have a caliper binding up. In my experience the piston seems to bind in the caliper more than the whole caliper on the bracket. Two out of the three daily driver trucks I've had did that to me at some point in their lives. I've also got a truck I'm working on now with that exact problem, caliper rebuild kits are already bought and I just need to spend the time taking it apart. If it has gotten really hot, you probably need to repack the wheelbearings as well. All that heat doesn't help the grease stay put where it should be.

It seems like this happens to me usually after the truck has sat for several months, or fairly soon after replacing pads. Replacing pads put the piston in a different rest position than it has been used to, so any rust/buildup must be in a better position to hang up on things. (or so goes my theory)
