I remember that the stock charging system was rated at 45 amps. Trucks with air conditioning were rated higher. Is this correct?

I think because it's a holiday weekend, there wont be a response to the question until Tuesday. I still think it's rated at 45 amps though.

I looked this up in the Series 5 shop manual I have and it only mentions one alternator and it's a 35 amp one. But this manual doesn't get much into the A/C system. Perhaps someone else can better answer this one.

Well i'll be darned! I stand corrected. I would have bet money that it was a 45 amp system. If thats the case, im really glad that i have 60 amp GM alternator tied in to my truck.

I book says 35, couldn't find anything about one for ac equipped truck.
