OK. I had the carb rebuilt and put it back on. Runs bad ,won't idle. I plugged off everything and it runs bad, rough idle. My question. The egr seems to open and close when vacuum is put to the line, but is it possible that the egr valve is not closing all the way, or could it be letting outside air ,not the exhaust ,into the intake? Ron

Mine wasn't closing all the way on my truck, so I just got a couple scraps of aluminum and capped the whole assembly in. Got a plug for the bung on the exhaust manifold and called it good. Just hope you don't have to emission like that.

Vaccum line blues is when you go to get your Luv smogged and the shop replaces 2 lines and a rubber seal on the gas cap, then charges 150 bucks on top of the cost to get it smoged.
