Is there a carb out there like a weber or edelbrock or holly that can replace the stock carb and still pass cal. smog?
I got into my carb today and I dont think its the right one for my year luv.
The coasting richer solenoid is on there but when I took it off it had been hollowed out and the carb has no ports or anything for it to do if it did work. The anti-dieseling solenoid was the same way.
So if there arent any aftermarket carbs that will pass smog out there. I need a carb for a 78 cal. luv. Any help would sure be appreciated. Ron.

http://www.carbs.net is a good place to get a weber with all the stuff to put it on a luv, but I have no clue if it will pass california emissions or not.

I bought a holley off of ebay that looked just like the stock hitachi, same hookups and everything. I'm sure that kind would pass emissions, but I don't know the numbers or anything off of it. You could contact holley and get the part number.

I checked the weber web site and as I suspected, they are not ca smog legal.
I will probly just go to a carb exchange / rebuild place around here and get the right carb for my truck.
Thanks, Ron
