So it's a chilly morning here in FL around 50 or so. The truck takes a few tries before it wants to stay running, nothing new. I get to the end of my parking lot and it stalls out again, but this time when I go to start it I get nothing, no dash lights, no attempt to turn over or nothing. Has anyone else had a problem like this? My guess is that it could be a bad ground or something. All help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Erik

I just had this happen to me in my '73 MG Midget. Found out it was a battery cable which was a bit loose. Pulled them off, cleaned them up and hasn't done it again since.

paper, mine has done the same thing before. It was always one of two things. Either my ignition switch was smoked (again), or my fuse box was corroded (again).

Of couse it could be many things. Like Rick said, battery cables being lose or corroded doesn't help.

Thanks for the replies guys. It turned out it was the battery connections. I took them off and used a wire brush to recondition the terminals. The truck then started right back up.
I decided to go out and pick up a new battery terminal and while I was at it, I got a new headlight, turn signal relay, air filter, fuel filter. However I forgot to pickup new plugs and carb cleaner.

mine did that too.. but it lost the gas gauge, and temp gauge about 3 days prior... found it was the + connector next to the battery. it connects to the battery then splits off into 2 wires about 1 foot away... the connector had come partly disconnected for 3 days then completely disconnected on my way to work. was easy to find though!

The best thing to troubleshoot those problems is a 12V DC troubleshooting light. Just check from the positive battery post and ground on out along the circuit until the light won't come on any more. This means you passed a bad connection, maybe loose or corroded. This cannot be found with a voltmeter becuz of the way it works with high impedance and low current draw.
