I took the egr valve off my truck to clean it up and put new gaskets on it to make sure there is no vacuum leak. My EGR valve faces the block and connects to a different piece that the exhaust tube attaches too. I need a gasket for this too cause they were all trashed, but I don't know what it is, and the guy at the parts store is telling me it's an egr solenoid and I think he's wrong. Any experts?

By the way, it bolts on to the bottom of the intake with three bolts, and it's got a vacuum connection looking thing, that as far as I can tell is directly attached to the exhaust. Which would make it positive pressure, instead of vacuum, which I've never heard of and if I don't know what it is, I can't fix it. Besides, I need the gasket so I can put it back together and see if it helps my truck run better, thanks for any help.

It sound like you're describing an EGR Valve. Buy a sheet of gasket paper and make your gaskets. A solenoid is electrical. Any wires going to it?

It had the gaskets with sheets of metal in them, like exhaust gaskets, can I use regular gasket material? No, it's a block of metal that has a hole that goes from one side to the intake, and another from the same side to where the exhaust tube thing screws in. Then the piece with the diaphram, (which is what I'm assuming is the EGR valve) bolts on the the side with the two holes.

If you look at the first diagram on here. The metal tube is a Back pressure signal pipe or something like that, and the part I'm lookin' for is what the diagram points to as the "Oriface"

Had to look at mine in a box in the garage, since it's not on the LUV. You're right about the gasket. I bet you could find some high temerature gasket material at a parts store from which you could cut a gasket. Be sure to clean all the carbon crud from the inside of those parts before you put them back on. Notice on one schematic there's vacuum control valve. My LUV had one of those and it's an 80.
