I'd like to hear what people opinion are on rebuilt parts vs New ones.
I bought a Master Cylinder, and a mechanic I go to said, that he would have bought a new one, but its water over the damn now.
I bought a rebuilt caliper and while back I posted that I had to drill the hole for the pin on the brake hose to a large size to get it to fit.
Well that same caliper started leaking from the bleeder vavle (while it was closed) Warranty covered that. The one I picked up is a little differnt.
The hose with the pin went right on and also the bleeder is smaller than the other valve I have, but if it works I won;t complai.

As for Luv trucks, Parts suppliers are phasing out stuff so if i can get a part that i need to get it to work, i should count my blessings. I've lucked out over the past 2 years getting my truck fixed up again and if i had another truck to build today, it would be even harder to do. But to get to the basic question you asked, I would go for new parts over rebuilt.

Is your master cylinder working out because I am about to get a rebuilt one and I was wondering if it was a good idea.

Well I bled the system yesterday, and at that point the brakes seemed good. I wanted to wait overnight and when I get home today, I'll test 'em again.
