 Post subject: PCV Valve?
PostPosted: Sat Jun 26, 2004 4:38 pm
I have a '80 Chevy Luv 1.8l and I'm getting blow back out of the valve cover. A little white smoke. Other than the rings maybe being shot anyone have any other ideas? I'm not real mechanical, but I can't find the PCV valve at all on this truck. I have had it for 5 years and do not beieve it has been replaced. Any help is appreciated.

there isn't really a valve to find...the pcv system is a 5/8" tube from the back of the valve cover and a small hose from the bottom of the carb to the carb side (low)of the valve cover.there's a ball valve on the carb that kinda acts like a pcv valve but it's a little different.

hate to break it to you but it's probably your rings...mine is the same way at the moment(till my short block gets back).
