where do i score a key blank for my truck?....i can't get a copy made for the life of me and mine's about to break

I needed extra keys for mine and didn't want to carry around that big black 1/2 plastic key. I went to my local locksmith (an old photomat booth) and told her I wanted a regular all metal key. She found a key that says right on it "fits Toyota and Luv". The blank is from a co. called Taylor and the part # is T80V . So find a locksmith and check it out.

I always figured that an Isuzu dealership could handle the task. P'UPs had the same kind of key so they should do it without any hassle.

Took me a bit to find one...
Wal-Mart - NO,
Auto-Zone - no (had the same machine as Wal-Mart.
Hardware Store - no
Finally went to a Locksmith, took him but a few minutes.. hehe..

the local locksmith here was able to make me 2extra keys. Just find a locksmith and they should be able to care of you.

My LUV's "key" is a toggle switch. :lol: The only thing the original key is used for is to lock the door. And since theres one key broke off in the drivers door...you have to lock the passengers door. So that means you have to unlock the passenger door, either reach across and unlock the drivers door...or just climb in through the passengers side, and into the truck. :lol: Quite the operation...I should look into getting the broke key out of the drivers door someday...

i didn't have a problem getting mine cut at walmart :? got 4 extra keys 8)

the best thing is you can take your keys out while it's running and let it warm up :lol:

The blank for those keys is a toyota. If you go in any store that makes keys and just tell them you drive a toyota truck, they'll hook you up. I think T22 or something.
