Is the first spark plug on the 1.8 motor shorter than the rest? my plug will not go in all the way,but the threds are fine on both.

I would lay down odds that you have a cross-threaded hole. I had three on mine when I bought it, it just looks like they don't go in all the way, and if you watch real close they wobble slightly.

Only way to fix it is to pull the head and get yourself a hela-coil kit.

But if you're not having any real problem with it then I would just leave it be.
