Is there any place that anyone may know where to get a replacement stick shift boot ? I've tried the junk yards, no luck . I would like to find the original type and not go with aftermarket ones that screw in.Or are there any other trucks that used the sameone?

I haven't seen much that is a match, but there might be something out there. There are two styles in LUVs, 77 and older have a small solid steel shaft and 78 or 79 they switched to a stick that is about one inch around that slips down over a shorter shaft. The boots are fairly different between the two at least on the stick end. I know my 86 Isuzu Trooper had a large sized boot and I suspect the 81-up isuzus would be similar to the Trooper and not fit a LUV.

Junk yards are about the only place for an original unless someone here has an extra around. Yards are also probably the best place to go looking for alternatives in other rigs too. Measure the hole in the floor and start climbing in rigs at the yards looking for something that would match.

My local Isuzu dealer got one for me a couple of months ago. Cost $30, though.

look for mid 80's troopers in the junk yards. The boots are identical for 79-80, even for the 4X4 transfer case boot.
