well compression tested my truck with help of dad and i was wondering if this was pretty low for my truck the book says 170psi at 3,000 rpm
and we tested it with all plugs out and disconnected coil and he had me hold throttle wide open when starting it and we got readings 125 straight across just it sounds low to me

Yeah, it's a little low. 170psi is optimal. Look at the bright side. They're all the same readings.

As long as all four cylinders are running the same PSI, give or take 10 PSI or so, then it should run fine. I had a 350 SBC, it had about 90 PSI in one cylinder and the rest were 75 to 85 PSI, and it run fine.

the general rule is 75%. If your lowest and highest numbers are whithin 75% then you can get away whith it.
