allright this time lets see if we can stay on the subject i asked earlier if i could use a 5 speed out of a 83 to 89 camaro i never really got an answer everybody was just interested that my clutch linkage was cable not hydraulic. but anyways im going to drop a mildly built 283 into my chevy luv i have read earlier if i wanted to use a 4 speed that i had to use a monza bellhousing with shifter fork and throwout bearing does anybody know if this camaro transmission will work or do i have to get the bellhousing and these parts in addition? thank you guys help will be greatly appreciated and by the was i love this site!!!

As long as you can hook up the clutch and the shifter lines up, I don't see why it wouldn't work. It will bolt up to the motor and that's the important part. Everything else you can always modify to fit or fabricate something to work.

i have two different trucks with the camaro t5 in them i also used the vega cable clutch bell housing and they work great and i love 5th gear!
