hello i have finallygot the generator light to go out while running. i did the electronic ignition swap from an 81 luv.now the exhaust.. it had a header on it when i got it. and a 2 in exhaust pipe to a junk muffler then a 1 1\2 inch pipe to the tail end.i have a cherry bomb type muffler to go on it.what is the best size pipe to use on these little motors? i've heard 2 in. all the way.

ON my 521 I have a Dynomax superturbo. It fit in the stocl location.
Im running a 1.75 intube.

If want quite go with a 2 or 3 chamber turbo mufflers.
I myself hate cherry bomb type mufflers. OK for motrs with alot of HP.

Im running the pacesetter headers, along with 2" all the way back and a high flow turbo muffler ( no cat needed for Federal emmisions). Works great and I can tell it has more get up and go.

thanks for yalls help. i just need it a little less noiser.i have been running open headers with exhaust at all for about 2 months.
